In 2015, the Just One Wish Kindness Awards were established to thank children for their kindness and strength of character.

Thanks to the support of Greg Maychek from the City of Hamilton, the first Just One Wish Kindness Awards ceremony was held during the PanAm Games Torch ceremony.  They celebrate children aged four to eighteen who displayed exceptional kindness.

Kindness is a true strength that requires courage. Kind people respect others and their differences, listen actively, offer assistance, and seek to understand. They believe that positive energy can overcome negativity, communicate openly, stand up for what's right, and show patience and humility.
